DAVID CULLEN CB OBE (53): CHAIRMAN
General David Cullen retired from the British Army in July 2016. He finished his Service as the Assistant Chief of the General Staff responsible to the Army Board for 130,000 people worldwide and an annual budget of £9.7Bn; specifically, setting the conditions for the British Army to contribute to success on operations and ensuring coherence across the ‘defence Lines of development. In this role, and as a member of the Army Board, he was also responsible for the Army’s international engagement strategy and the British Army’s internal and external communications policy. As the Army’s senior officer in the Ministry of Defence David provided the gearing between the Ministry of Defence and Army Headquarters. David’s military career included leadership from Captain to General on military operations in the Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan – often within broader coalitions.
MAL CREASE (47): FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Malcolm has previously held high-level commercial roles for MTV Europe, The FA Premier League, UEFA, FIFA and various positions within Formula 1. Since 2000 he has pursued entrepreneurial aspirations and launched several successful media-related businesses. An entrepreneur and investor in sports, media and entertainment-led IP, commercial strategy, structuring and early-stage development, his experience includes the commercialisation of sports and entertainment platforms, brand marketing, sponsorship, content, experiential activation and partnerships. Malcolm has also been a member of the Vector Offshore Racing Team and is a twice winner of the Cowes Classic.
PETER DREDGE (55): FOUNDER AND TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Peter has been a technical designer and competitive powerboat racer for over 30 years. Peter has unparalleled powerboat design, development and retail experience in the performance marine sector. He was the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA) powerboat racing and motorboat manager for 14 years and was responsible for developing many of the safety standards and guidelines used today in all aspects of recreational and professional powerboat racing. Peter has won two World and three European Championships and has broken 21 World Speed and Endurance Records, 15 of which still stand. Peter has raced competitively in every offshore class and is currently a technical consultant to many private owners, federations and organising committees including the UIM and the RYA.
SIMON POWELL (51): OPERATIONS AND TRAINING DIRECTOR
Simon served in Britain’s elite Special Boat Service (SBS) for 17 years before embarking on a business career that has seen him start two specialist companies. Cerberus International supplies specialist offshore boat training to a wide selection of clients ranging from the UK Military, the Italian Guardia Finanza, the Hong Kong Police and immigration unit and a few select powerboat companies (www.cerberus-international.com) and Military Freefall Solutions supplies specialist parachute training to the US and foreign military units.
